birthday & candles (not on a cake)

I'm right on the brink of my Golden birthday.
This day means everything to me. I will be 22 years old on March 22.
21 never meant shit to me.
22 is what I've been waiting for.
All the 11 multiples really; 22, 33, 44, 55, 66....
I feel like it is going to be the best year yet.
2010 has already been very, very good to me.
I feel like 22 is a beautiful number to BE.
Eric has been too good to me this birthday and needless to say I have some AWESOME concerts coming up! (passion pit, modest mouse, & THOM YORKE!) and a new navigation/radio unit in my car which now allows the music to flow from the iPhone through the car speakers. What a nice contrast to burning 1000 CDS.

But in the midst of the "golden-ness" is the redecorating of Eric's casa. It was a mere 3 weeks ago when we decided that me moving in here was going to be a top notch idea. One we still share. In my excitement and madness to create something of our own, I've been running to Target and other "home-y" kind of stores and spending away my paychecks. I have learned that I'm a bit of a candle addict. Target has these awesome candles by Illume. They come in really funky tins and have that earthy sweet scent to them, really unique. I think its nice when a candle can be used as part of decor.

Also, a love/hate relationship has started to form between me and the wonderful store called Anthropologie. Talk about amazing everything in that store, but talk about amazingly overpriced. Its sad, but its a way to muster up ideas and then...go to Target or Ikea to get something close, heh.

Along with the random candles and wall decor we've been putting around everywhere, we have also got the paint up on the walls and the carpet has been ordered! Things have been really coming along and I'm so excited. The process of making it our "own" is going better than we expected. All in all it looks like Target, Menards, Ikea, & Home Goods will be getting/has gotten their fair share from us!

Let's mention my "cool girlfriend award" for being in love with the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. I have always loved video games since I first had an Atari in my room at the age of four. My brother was always bringing home game systems and new games and I always had free time to play them (in between a competitive skating career...) So now I've snagged my a guy who likes a little x-box here and there and he found a girl who loves to annihilate the assholes over live. Of course, I cannot toot my own horn-- I've only been at the game for a week, but I find myself staying up into the night to play.

I have to mention a fun little knick knack that Eric received from his boss;
They are called Bucky Balls. They are these crazy little magnetic balls and you can make all these different things out of them...

I hope you all are enjoying spring! The weather has been so wacky, but I look forward to the consistent 80 degree weather!

For now...I AM GOLDEN!

moving along!

These past two weekends were... efficient.
That has to be the best word to describe it. Efficient in almost every sense of the word.
My counterpart & I came to some good realizations & ideas over these past few weekends...
That would be;
Me moving into his house. The house is located about 40 minutes from my work/current home. But, on the bright side; he owns it (meaning we wouldn't need to be paying rent on top of a mortgage) we also have the advantage of doing what we want to it. Although its a tad far from my work, it's not too bad because it calls for mostly highway driving (IN NEED OF RADAR DETECTOR!) I also think of it as there are some people that have much longer commutes for much shittier jobs, so I'm glad I love my job because it's worth it. Since gas will be more money for me, I'm going to try and find some other job on the side because I love where I am at and don't want to give it up.

His house is all set up to go with recently installed satellite cable, all of his office stuff & electronic equipment/wiring is all configured. Normally I just stay weekends so I feel kind of uncomfortable leaving my shit around his house so I pack things each week which gets annoying, but that's my choice.. I also felt uncomfortable adding too much to the house. It wasn't mine to tamper with so I didn't start marching in hanging pictures on the wall. Of course I still clean and keep it up (I actually love cleaning) It still won't be "mine" when I move in with him, but..I AM SO EXCITED TO DECORATE! (picking out paint/carpet/etc.) He's leaving it all to me. We have some really cool ideas. I've already added some personal touches and am quite pleased with how it is all coming together.

But now the issue of actually moving in together! EEK!
Not that I'm concerned about it.
it's just that this is a big step.
It's me leaving that huge comfortability zone, while he is staying in his comfort zone.
What it all really comes down to is "I'll put up with your shit if you put up with mine."
We will have to realize that we can't constantly put up an act for one another.
Best behaviour is admired and necessary at times, but at home he has a right to be who he is without my influence. I need to learn this and accept it. He needs to do the same with me and know that I'm going to be who I am. Of course there will be tons of compromise. There has to be. Living with another human being is the greatest way of getting to know a person. I think we will be just fine. We have systems all over the place..

He's thinking "Damnit now I have to pick up my socks & throw them in the hamper?...& do laundry once a week?!" and I'm thinking "Shit, this means I have to start shaving 3-4 times a week?!" I'm sure we will be just fine, people.

We have been cleaning his house like crazy. It is looking so damn good. I feel like it is slowly showing both of our personalities in the house and I love being there. I want to move in with him so badly. I want to make something to make "ours". I want to maintain something and provide a wonderful living space. I want to live somewhere different and travel down new roads (literally and figuratively). I almost feel like this is my version of leaving for University that I never had. Scared yet extremely anxious. I will no longer be in a spot of my OWN. My own little Tessa world that has everything I need in it (except a mini fridge and a masseuse), everything that makes me comfortable. I will be creating a space with someone else to no longer make something my "own" but rather to make something "ours". I knew I had a desire to move in with him when I was coming home at the end of the weekend feeling kind of out of place. I love the idea of coming home to him. It will be a big transition, but there is no rush. Of course a trial run will be in order. I am planning on staying with him for one week during a week that we both work and have our own schedules. Of course, as time progresses our schedules will merge and it will just work. It is scary this whole process. It is scary no matter how excited you are about it. However, I feel comfortable there. We have such awesome ideas that if executed as planned, should turn out wonderfully. We have already knocked out a wall that expanded the master bedroom and it looks really nice. I just want it to all pull together quickly and perfectly. We practically have the Ikea magazine glued to our hands flipping through mustering inspiration. Good stuff. I'm excited for what is to come.

So on a completely different, yet great note-- I have to blog about The Talking Heads again! Ah! I have been rockin' to them so much lately. This is really nothing crazy, I was raised on them. But these songs in particular; give 'em a listen! They will put you in a great mood!

2) This Must Be The Place ( Ah ! I love David Byrne in Stop Making Sense!)

A busy week lies ahead but there is a lot to look forward to :)

Has anything kept you a busy beaver lately?!

"I tied it to the radiator"

This can be found on my bedroom floor;

You can say I've delved into fashion again. This is never a bad thing.
It always goes this way;
I am fastidious about it for a period of time (dressing better, studying fashion, acquiring clothing, inspiration, and most importantly; ideas! ) then I kind of let it all go. It all comes in waves. So the time again is now.
It all starts with an issue of Vogue I randomly snag one night, then inspiration, then the purchasing of fashion books...& then I'm making impromptu trips to Goodwill (there is an AWESOME Goodwill by me). The Goodwill trip is ALWAYS the best part.
It is like rummaging through 1000 closets of people who are all shapes and sizes and all have different ideas of what is "give away-able".
Anywho, I found some great items there today. Along with these purchases I got a brand spanking new pair of red skate guards at Triple Toe today (thanks to a gift card I had). I have been hellbent on getting red ones. I am so excited to sport them at the rink as silly as that sounds, but part of the fun of skating is all the accessory crap that goes with it. I hope to sneak in a freestyle tomorrow.

But speaking of purchasing all this stuff, I have got to cool it with the spending. The thing that always throws me back is the travel that Eric and I do. I think it's worth it. I am smart about my purchases and always really consider each thing I buy. We are somewhere different every weekend which encourages shopping. Indianapolis always puts a dent in my account and we were there again this weekend. I told myself that Goodwill was the last place I was going to spend. I am good about managing my accounts in the sense that I always have enough for what I need and I make sacrifices if my oil needs changing or something needs to be bought for gifts or something. I always pay my bills on time and in full. It gets harder to do, but it's so important to keep my credit in check. I have just a little bit more time to throw my money around how I want to and then it comes to a point where I just don't need any more shit. I feel like my wardrobe is really well rounded and I hope to just focus on getting staple pieces and things I will have around for awhile.

I will retire for the evening with watching The Royal Tenenbaums (has to be one of my favourite movies) and cutting up fashion magazines for inspiration (one of my favourite pastimes). How perfect.

How will you enjoy yours??

February 18, 2010

gold is in.

The Olympics have this funny way of inspiring me while making me feel horrible about myself.
Same goes for watching award shows.
I am so proud of each athlete and I know how much work goes into every sport & then...
there is me.
I have accomplished nothing great. I am not a household name. I have no immediate goals.
I guess that's not true, I have goals, but nothing I would call "jaw dropping".
It just makes me feel very, very lazy.
It's a bummer. But anywho-
I am super excited about Evan Lysacek!

I trained with Evan back in my competitive skating days. A long time ago.
We had the same coach and all of her students at that time were about the same age
so we all hung around with each other. Evan's parents actually live about 6 blocks over.
It's really exciting and I'm really happy for him; it's such a huge success
& it brings good to the town.
Unfortunately, I just know the results and not how the actual programs where.
I plan on watching them in the a.m. heh
Work got out later than expected and my mom resorted to taping it.
I have something to look forward to tomorrow morning!

But that's not all I have to anticipate;
This weekend is another one down in Indy. Woohoo! Stopping at Fair Oaks Farm! Awesome!
Going to a baby shower this weekend which should be nice :)

For now I am beyond exhausted.
Enjoy the weekend!

February 16, 2010

the Olympic spirit.

I feel like I HAVE to say something about this...

So the Winter Olympics are in full swing and along with that comes... figure skating! YAY!
Pairs skating was on this weekend.
(I'm really more into solo skating, but I enjoy pairs none the less)
Skating gets me SO emotional these days. (I am not really into this emotional streak I'm on)
If you compete at all in figure skating you know the work that goes into it.
The technical and artistic meaning behind it all, the insane judging system, the pressure & competitive nature of the sport.
Every fall or slip affects me personally and my heart really goes out to every skater.
They work SO hard and to see it all down the drain with sometimes quite minor flaws...
it kills me.
The ridiculous requirements and elements they have to perform perfectly.
I am so proud of the Chinese team Shen/Zhao.
They skated so well & they were the oldest ones in the competition & their story is so great-- (they came out of retirement to try competing one last time).
Sometimes you just need some time off to get it all into perspective.
One story that makes me sad is the Russians end to the gold after a 12 Olympic streak.
I just felt horrible for this girl in the pairs team for the Russians;
Yuko KAWAGUCHI Alexander SMIRNOV EC 2009.jpg
Yuko Kavaguti <--her story.

She went through so much just for a chance to compete in the Olympics & she did.
She didn't skate a clean program and the Russians took fourth.
Of course none of this was a waste for each competition you learn so much about yourself,
but she just looked so sad after it all. I just hate to see that after all that hard work.

I have to thank Eric for bearing through the pairs skating.
It's not dire that I watch it right when it's on, but I'd like to see it at some point. We actually had the games on most of the weekend. Winter Olympics have a lot of good sports to watch. Summer Olympics are cool because of Rhythmic Gymnastics and Gymnastics
but other than that I'm set.
I am actually waiting for them to include Ultimate Frisbee in the Olympics because then I have a shot! Heh, I love Frisbee.
But all this skiing that I'm watching is making me want to try it.
Especially this awesome downhill skiing! It looks insanely fun.
I love the speed and jumps in there. Man oh man!
But you are so injury prone when you do stuff like that.

So on another note;
It turned out that Valentines Day was not as crazy as anticipated at work. We got out later than midnight only one night and before midnight the other four. I got really lucky in that sense.
Eric dropped by work on Friday to surprise me with a room key for the Westin this weekend.
Exterior Pond

It was a really good weekend and it turns out I didn't have to work Sunday so that gave us the day free. I'm really not big on Valentines Day, so we did something we would normally do while in that area; we bopped around the Oakbrook Mall. We did a little shopping but nothing extensive.
One shop I am always pleased with is Urban Outfitters.
I love the books and random trinkets they sell.
We ended up snagging sushi in the evening hours--all in all, a GREAT weekend.
I'm glad I worked a lot last week and I'm glad it's all done & will return to normal until graduation rolls around.
I'm glad that next year I will be considered "seasoned" in the cookie decorating biz. I will have decorated every holiday bouquet and know the flow of it all. That's pretty exciting to me!
I'm glad that I spent a great weekend in a nice hotel with my counterpart--I feel really lucky.
Things are good right now.
& I shall go to bed in a chipper mood!
Bonne nuit!

February 9, 2010

the week where sleep is vital.

With all this snow that just blew in-- I cannot wait for summer.
Short sleeves and longer days. mmmm.
But for now I shall live in the moment
(& enjoy the 6+ inches we are expected to get by the A.M.)
Although, the moment I am living in is quite hectic.
At least in mindset (for now, until tomorrow when it really starts picking up).
It's Valentines Day on Sunday which means my job is at its busiest week of the year.
This will be good in terms of pay (and experience!) but there is so much hype I'm freaked out.
There are so many orders going out--
& so many people are going to be bopping around the shoppe.
But as hectic as it's going to be, I'm kind of pumped for it.
I like the excitement and productivity that will be going on.
It is really fun when there are a lot of people there because it always comes down to everyone just acting goofy.
I feel good when a lot of people are there to get a job done.
So yeah. This week I should be expecting to get out around 2 a.m. Each night.
Maybe earlier, maybe later.
Bring. It. On.

This week Eric and I headed down to Indianapolis for the weekend to hang out with his cousin & her husband. We also caught the Super Bowl get together that her parents were throwing.
It was a really fun weekend and I'm glad we made it because it snowed late on Friday.
We didn't even make it to Indianapolis until 5:30 a.m. that next Saturday morning.
It was unfortunate the Colts lost the game (it was a good one!)
But in the end, Eric & I are from Chicago--not Indianapolis
& we are used to the disappointment that a football team brings to its hometown.
So we were able to walk out of the Super Bowl party with ease.

Us at the party;

Life has been pretty good these past few days :) :)
I'm anxious for the rest of this week.
I stocked up on food and brought it to work today.
I better snag some zzz's unless I'll be dragging tomorrow!

February 3, 2010

lets lay down some images.

What my day will include; in pictures.
In chronological order.

A Blueberry bagel :)

Figure skating :)
lunch at Clara's with the people I skate with.
(it's right next to the rink)
This is a GREAT restaurant, it's always packed.
I've been going here for years and my parents actually know Clara :)

A little shower time of course! ;)

I get to hang out with Eric tonight!
Hopefully this night will include wine, great conversation, fantastic music, & xbox!
but whatever we end up doing it will be awesome.
I made him a CD and I'm so excited to give it to him.
He has to be one of my favourite people to make CD's for because it's a challenge!

Woohoo! this game rocks, but sometimes the categories/questions really suck.

This tea is awesome.
It contains valerian root which is also used in vicodin.
I know that's not the greatest plug in the world, but it knocks me out.
Just don't let it steep too long :)
You can find this at whole foods.

Have a GREAT day!

February 1, 2010

What I'd like to call a "creative day"

What could be better than a Monday off?
I get Mondays off frequently. (I know, be jealous).
What a great start to the week (thus far).
I hope I will not be found biting my tongue later, but that's usually the case.

I stayed an extra night at Eric's last night. Normally he drops me back home Sunday nights.
But I didn't have work today and he didn't need to be in at 9 so it worked nicely.
We were ready to go to bed at 1 a.m. but fortunately/unfortunately we talked until 3:30am.
We both were not tired and we always find ourself getting into conversations that lasts for hours.
(those are the best nights). I wouldn't have it any other way.
But things weren't so awesome when his alarm clock went off at 7:15 a.m. We were both pretty tired, but I made sure he got a good breakfast in him before a long day & he dropped me back home. I decided to skate...
This was a rather interesting idea. Skating on 3 1/2 hours of sleep?
I only have to devote every fiber of my being while I'm on the ice.
However it was a great time. The usual crowd was there and we were being jokey & enjoying the ice being free from college kids back home and toddlers that never seem to have school.
Talk about slaphappy! It put me (& everyone else) in a great mood so that three hours of sleep turned out to be all I needed for today. Thank goodness I was in a good mood because there are two sides to the "no sleep" coin.

So back to re-capping...

Work was pretty crazy last week, well, more crazy than usual. We got out pretty late each night.
I will look forward to that paycheck. However, I hope this week is not as hectic.

This weekend was a good one. Eric and I went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner. I wanted to go there because I had never been. I enjoyed it. I love pizza and I always find myself acting like a 6 year old because I order it at so many restaurants. So it's nice to go somewhere where pizza is a specialty. There are so many vegetarian options, so that's always nice. We had a nice weekend. We ran small errands here and there, but pretty much laid low.
I'm proud of myself because I made a nice little meal on Saturday :)
I can't wait till we get settled in together because I will get in the habit of cooking and trying new recipes all the time.
Plus we will have all the utensils/cooking items I need and we will be good to go..
So much to look forward to!

I guess we can let music creep into this post...
after all, the Grammy's were yesterday and everyone is all into the music hype.

There are a few bands/artists that I am really into right now;

Spoon (obviously)

I burn people CD's like crazy. & I feel like I put these artists on the most.
I love the challenge of trying to fit 1.2 hours of music onto a disc and give it to someone and have them really love and enjoy it (the order of songs is crucial, it has to flow just right)
Especially when you don't exactly know what they listen to.
As Cady said "Each CD should be a journey." That's what I try to accomplish.
I love introducing people to new artists and different genres of music.
Music is one of the best things that you can share.
I really like Margot & The Nuclear So & So's because I don't normally listen to acoustic-y kind of music, yet it really captivates me coming from them. I also like how certain songs on the album remind me of Radiohead's Pablo Honey/The Bends days. It's always a perk.
I also REALLY dig Bloc Party, but I'm still in Love with their first album, Silent Alarm, so I give people the old tunes. I'm lucky I came across Sleepy Rebels.
Eric & I shazam'ed one of their songs on our iPhones during a U.S. Cellular commercial and that's how I found out about them. I fell in love with the song "Kaleidoscope" which is the song that plays during that commercial. So yeah, I sputtered a bit about music there, and no, you cannot find any of this music nominated for a Grammy. The closest thing might be MGMT or The Ting Tings. I actually only caught about 50 minutes of the Grammy's from the start. Whatever. I'm kind of glad Taylor Swift won. I have never heard any of her songs, but she seems alright and good for her. Beyonce had a really good performance, same with Pink & The Black Eyed Peas. The Grammy's ended up taking a backseat to Xbox with my dearest and I was fine with that.

I look forward to a good week of work. Valentines day will be hell (busiest day of the year).
Indianapolis this weekend for a super bowl party! I'm really excited for the next few weeks! Good stuff for sure, busy, but that's never a bad thing!

I am exhausted. It's so early (9:39pm), but I'm thinking that my bed time is near.
Goodnight!

-Tessa

January 20, 2010

caught red handed! (with yummy deliciousness!)

Wow. Already 21 days into January. Hopefully it will conclude nicely. I'm sure it will.
Let me tell you one thing right now. I have to get this out.
I hate the Kardashian family. I REALLY do. However, I am always tuned in to their damn show. I love their stupid drama. However I love Khloe. Once I tune in, I have to finish it.
I am VERY ashamed of this, but whatever, we all have our guilty pleasures.
I'd rather have mine be a show than be something like..mass amounts of apple pie.

So Sunday I was definitely tuned in for the Golden Globes. I LOVE award shows.
Back in High School, my friend Dan and I would dress up & go to Jewel before our GGparty.
We would announce to everyone we encountered that we were headed to the Golden Globes.
It was a hoot. We would all have sheets marked with who we thought would win and would watch the pre-shows on E! Those were the days. Eric even watched it with me this year :)
Thank goodness for TiVo (24 was on) I knew what he was sacrificing.
However we both enjoy a little Ricky Gervais and knew a lot of the nominated roles.
I guess watching award shows is another guilty pleasure.
But I enjoy the Academy Awards a lot more. It goes into each movie more in detail.
However the Globes this year were pretty good and I agree with the winners for the most part.
Of course plenty of shots taken at NBC by all--(always hilarious)

Speaking of NBC the 2010 Winter Olympics are coming up soon! I cannot wait! Sunday was the day when the three Olympic contenders where chosen; Jeremy Abbott, Evan Lysacek, & Johnny Weir are those three. I am so excited. I used to train with Evan back in my skating hey day. We had the same coach for a period of time as well. I am excited he made it but I am especially excited for Johnny Weir. I recently watched a hilarious documentary on him.
Be Good Johnny Weir is the name. It has a great look into the sport of figure skating and the pressures of being competitive on a world scale. Anywho...
The Olympics inspire me like crazy. Competition season (October-March) normally does.
I think it is absolutely remarkable to see so many talented athletes in one arena.
Winter is the best because figure skating gets out there on a large scale--which is exciting.
I just cannot wait to see which American ladies are going!
I'm for Ashley Wagner & Mirai Nagasu. They both have so much potential. Moving on...

This last stretch of the week is a busy one. Work the rest of the week until Sunday. It will be good though. I need the money (Saturdays always rake in more $$--long hours).

My thoughts are always in the midst of changing my entire look. But I adore my long hair, I like it's colour (it's natural color), and I like how easy my hair is to manage. It would look ridiculous short (shoulder length-ish). I've been there. I hated it.
I always say "anyone can have short hair." You really don't hear many people with long hair saying "Oh I wish I had short hair." But you always hear a girl with short hair say;
"I'm growing it out." or "I regret cutting it."
I don't know. I just feel like my look is getting boring.
I used to change it up constantly in high school. I want to get a wig actually.
A wig with black just above the shoulder hair with straight across bangs. That'd be perfect.

So tonight Flaming Hot Cheetos have the best of me. I love this unhealthy snack indulgence. I love it because it brings me back to my youth a.k.a. high school a.k.a. 4 years ago.
But I ate this almost every day freshman year.

You could see me skipping or running down the halls ALWAYS with a bag of flamin' hots
(with red fingers to match) and bottled water. I haven't really had them since freshman year which was 2002.
So flash forward to tonight at work;
(a girl I work with right now is pregnant).
In general without the pregnancy we talk a lot about food. I'm always spurting out my cravings (I have insane cravings and have had them my whole life). So today we were talking about snack foods and I mentioned Flaming Hot Cheetos.
Like always most of the time if a food is mentioned at all in the shoppe, I end up eating it later.
Chipotle, Noodles, Panera, Subway, Pizza...etc etc. I mean how can you resist??
Plus I always try to get something healthy (with tons of veggies!)
But tonight this was not the case AT ALL. I declared I was stopping on the way home to get my beloved long lost snack item. I was worried about eating the whole bag.
Eating the whole bag I have not.
Yet.
See I was worried about this. I shared how I always worry about bags/boxes of chips or snacks. I don't want to eat the whole thing! But I worry I might so I never get snacky foods like that usually. So this girl I work with tells me to just get a small bag.
No one is ever satisfied with that one bag of like 12 cheetos.
So I get the medium bag. I have consumed about half and I'm sure I'll go get more as soon as I finish this entry. The night is young. I have good spirits.
P.S. I will feel like shit later from this, I'm sure. I'll try and stay optimistic.

How cool is it that during Local On The 8's "Eminence Front" is playing?!

Now I will show you a completely random picture that has nothing to do with anything in this post!

(but I will tell you about it.)

This is the Mosta Dome located in Malta. That woman in the picture is JoAnn.
She was in my group when I traveled there. Anywho Malta was a big player in WWII.
So one Sunday during a service the church was struck by a bomb.
It came through the top of the church and fell on the floor.
It didn't go off. A faulty bomb. It was their Miracle.
This church is also the third biggest domed church in Europe.

:)

January 15, 2010

I guess we will never know...

Why.

Why is the shittiest toilet paper in the house placed in MY bathroom? Really?

Why is it that I cannot drag myself to the gym today? Oh yeah--my hips are screaming at me.
The scene last night: Noodles.
The happening? Me scarfing down a large Mac & Cheese. (it's been awhile, cut me some slack)
Me saying to myself then: "I need to kick my ass in the gym tomorrow."
Me saying to myself now: "eh never mind." dammit. It's okay. I'm over it.
At this point its not good for my body to pump iron and physically exert my body.

Why is it that I am always low on money? I'm good at managing it, it just seems like I'm always worried about it. That's okay. MO MONEY MO PROBLEMS!

Why is it that I always put off washing my hair? (I am lucky, this is not my biggest problem)
I try to go a week without washing it. My hair is thick (very thick) & long, this allows me to go a long period of time without and ensures faster growth (I'm not stripping my hair of its nutrients everyday). But it takes awhile to dry (I refuse the blow dry process) so I'm always putting it off.

Why don't I have some spectacular talent that allocates fame fame fame?!
Then I thought about it. Even if I did have some great talent, 9 times out of 10 someone else is going to be just as good if not better. If I were a great singer, that doesn't make me special persay, it just makes me more well rounded. I guess that makes me feel better. It's all relative. But I seriously think I should have been famous by now.

Why can there not be thousands of Cookies By Design locations in the Chicagoland area so that Eric and I can move wherever we please? (Seriously, I almost wish I was still at Jamba so then I can up and quit entirely and just find a new job. Unfortch I'm attached to my job.)

Why the hell there are there things like THIS on the market? Seriously pretty soon there will be something to make your fingers, toes, and ears less fat. Jeepers.

Why can't I go anywhere without someone exclaiming "You're weird." WOW! Tell me something I don't know. I always accept this as a compliment.

Why do I buy magazines and barely read them? I always read my Vogue, but the January Issue is still sittin pretty on my bedroom floor mostly unread but already skimmed through.

Why is my boyfriend awesome? For thousands of reasons, but in most recent because he gave me an iTunes gift card as part of my xmas gift. At first I thought this to be odd because we both are avid downloaders, but not everything can be downloaded, so new music and apps are now making their appearance in my iTunes/iPhone and I'm quite grateful I didn't have to fork over that $4.99 for the AWESOME Trivial Pursuit app!

Why is it that I sometimes sit back and allow life to roll on by? Sometimes I feel like I do nothing with my free time. I'll just sit and stumble upon the internet, watch weather channel, download music, etc. Sometimes I feel like I'm really livin life, but I hate feeling like I let time go to waste. Such a sad thing. I should start putting myself to good use.

Why is it that no one else seems to have seen a squirrel walk? Seriously it's the funniest thing ever--they look so sly and shady and it's so different from their usual scamper. (this allocates the "You're weird" statement, I suppose)

Why can't we all be a little more emotional and sensitive? Sometimes I feel like I'm too much of both. But at the same time sometimes I feel completely cold and detached. I just feel like we have to put ourselves in other peoples shoes sometimes and think about how we would truly like to be treated and then treat others that way. Be open, accept others, and laugh a little. It cannot hurt.

Wow. Why did I get the idea to write this?Bold
